spider

Description:

Attempting to blend in with the bark on a tree, this spider has a leg span of about 3 1/2 - 4 inches across and a body of about 1/2 inch. The two spiders that look closest were a water spider from Panama and a bark spider that had no id

Habitat:

On the scarred bark of a small tree at a lodge at the edge of Yasuni

Notes:

So secure in the effectiveness of his camoflage, that when I pulled out my raynow and moved the camera nearly on top of him, he didn't budge
