Ailuropoda melanoleuca
Black and white coat. Adults usually measure up to 1.2m to 1.8m in height, and weigh 100 to 115 kilograms (average for females and males). It has black fur on its ears, eye patches, muzzle, legs, arms and shoulders. The rest of the animal's coat is white. It is speculated that the coloring provides effective camouflage in its shade-dappled snowy and rocky surroundings
Native to central-western and south western China, bamboo makes up 99% of this animal's diet.
