Hapalochlaena lunulata
This was large, about the size of a baseball, for a blue ringed octopus. It was extremely active, swimming and crawling from rock to rock.
Coral Reef. Took these two pictures at Arthur's Rock at 45 feet.
I took the two pictures just seconds apart. I love how it changed colours dramatically and moved over the rocks.

so cool!
Incredible comparison! It seems to be laying low in the first shot and really sitting up and putting on a display in the second shot. Very interesting behavioral documentation.
Still jelly about this one
Hi Maria. Not too close. I was careful.
Great spotting of this octopus. You didn't get too close?
Gorgeous spotting, andreweleighton. Thanks for the share.
