Western Pygmy Rattlesnake

Sistrurus miliarius

Habitat:

My yard (Haha!). My house and land consists of 250 acres of eastern hardwood crosstimbers and grazing pasture with native prairie grasses, with a few creeks and ponds.

Notes:

This snake was relocated away from the yard farther into the pasture, and released into a large brush pile (2nd pic).
