Description:

Prosoma black with median whitish-yellow to brown stripe. Opisthosoma black, sometimes partially reddish, dorsally with yellowish-white to brown longitudinal band, enlarged anteriorly, with a large oval black dot in the centre. Opisthosoma laterally silvery, ventrally black, grey or reddish, with 2 rows of white dots, also merged to a line, sometimes V-shaped, coxae red to orange. Body length male: 8-9 mm, Body length female: 10-12 mm. Found in pasture, phrygana, olive groves, stenochronous species, very common in general. The pictured female was spotted in an olive grove, in Nea Demetrias, Volos city, Greece.
