Delphinapterus leucas
Large off white whale that was spotted with its pod over 100-150 along the northwest passage. Many of these beluga don't breech with their noses, so photos of this are rather hard to take!
Arctic Ocean/Northwest Passage
Shot from the river delta at the mouth of the Cunningham inlet, we sat as the tide came up and shot over and over again waiting for that perfect whale to pop up in my field of view. After about five hours this was one of the best. Its still a tad soft, but considering the conditions, I'll let it fly.

Such a special spotting!
Thanks Dixie! It was so much fun to go experience these awesome creatures up north. The number of them is actually insane. If you saw the Planet earth episode about Belguas, they actually filmed them here!
