A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Cnemidophorus sexlineatus
I found this colorful skink basking in the early morning sun along a trail through the sand dunes of Coconut Point Sanctuary.
Coconut Point Sanctuary preserves a section of ancient sand dunes on Florida's east coast. It's dominated by saw palmetto, sabal palms and various types of scrub oak.
The blue-green throat indicates this skink is a male. The females have a white throat and belly.
