Malaysian Flying Lemur

(Galeopterus variegatus)

Description:

This is a male Sunda/Malaysian flying lemur, not closely related to the lemurs in Madagasacar. They can’t fly either. Instead, they can glide from tree to tree, the folds in their skin allowing them to almost always land head up with precision. This was seen at MacRitchie Nature Reserve, Singapore.
