Project Noah Nature School
dragonfly, yellowish in color with a black back
I can tell you that I'm pretty sure it's a Skimmer in the Genus: Libellula. The problem is it is a little far and the angle doesn't show the wings well (which may help a little). Without more detail is hard for me because there are a number of them in this group that look almost the same. For example:Golden-winged Skimmerhttp://bugguide.net/node/view/114602/bgp...Bar-winged Skimmerhttp://bugguide.net/node/view/208056/bgi...Slaty Skimmerhttp://bugguide.net/node/view/265360/bgp...Great-Blue Skimmerhttp://bugguide.net/node/view/191832/bgi...to name a few.
