Description:

Looks like a collapsed cup or pinna of the ear maybe. Outside colour is greyish, inside is black.

Habitat:

Growing on a decapitated palm tree/coconut tree maybe...on the banks of the River Rupnarayan near Deulti village in West Bengal. This area is full of cultivated fields and human habitation and picnic sites.
