Description:

Sleeping at the top of a coconut palm this Crab-eating raccoon is a resident of Blackbird Caye at Turneffe Atoll. Often the raccoons can be found in the early mornings near the airstrip.

Habitat:

Every so often these raccoons can be seen immersing their tails in a blue crab hole and retrieving their prey.
