Downy Woodpeker

Picoides pubescens

Description:

Small black and white bird

Habitat:

Mountain forest

Notes:

This is a female adult and her baby. She was pecking at bugs in the tree and feeding them to the baby. It was overcast, so my pictures didn't come out great. But still a cute moment!

Thanks Birdlady! It was raining and overcast but you could clearly see the adult snatch a bug and feed it to the kiddo. So cute!
