Description:

Brightly colored flies found hovering over flowers for nectar. They have interesting spotted eyes that are prominent and neat black and yellow stripes on the thorax and abdomen. The male and female look alike in size except for the darker eyes on the female.

Notes:

Their eyes are noticeably different.The males have yellowish speckled ones while the females have darker eyes and look a bit apart with a black marking between them.
