Cortinarius

Cortinarius sp.

Description:

The cream coloured caps of these fruitng bodies were glutinous.The largest of the caps were about 40 mm wide. Centres were dark and some of the caps were leaves were resting were tinged blue. The stipes were slender and at least three times as long as the caps were wide. They were pale except for the fibres on the upper third which were stained brown
Gills were brown.

Habitat:

Spotted on moist ground among grass, beside a track - Churchill NP.
