Description:

The Yellow-spotted Monitor is a monitor lizard found in northern regions of Australia and southern New Guinea. Widespread across QLD.

Habitat:

Mainly occurs in hard soils and heavy loams, also sandy soils with heaths near the coast.

Notes:

Saw this one on a bike ride south of Roma.
