after looking at all the pics froms the guide and photos online, i am leaning more towards it being a social flycatcher. thanks for all of the help.

Good guess, Sachin! There are some rusty parts on the wings. Personally I can't separate the different species. My knowledge is too bad. Social Flycatcher is also found in Colombia.

nice spotting agree on bayucca's hint, White-ringed Flycatcher is found in Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras, and Panama. * as per wiki
Flycatcher. I am not sure if it is the Social Flycatcher or the White-ringed Flycatcher I know from Costa Rica. Colombia there are certainly some other species. Take it as a hint!
