Thanks for the tip. I took him to the wildlife sanctuary of northwest Florida. They identified him as a baby squirrel and said he's going to be just fine!
Would an animal rehabber take it in?
I'm very sad about it, but I'm not sure there's anything I can really do. I worry that if I move it there's no chance it will get found by its mother.
A newborn Mole maybe? How sad, but what a great eye you have!
