Description:

Purple flowers with yellow centers. Clasping, lance-shaped leaves. Plants grow to ~ 6 feet tall.

Habitat:

Spotted growing in a native wildflower garden near a pond and a mostly deciduous forest.

Notes:

Used medicinally for various ailments by Native Americans.
