The area where those monkeys live is not protected, although it is near a small protected area. And the mayor is building a hospital near that area. The forest itself is threatened and we don't know what will happen to those animals. There are people fighting to protect the area, but my city and all this region is a place where most people still lack of environmental conscience. Even people who are members of government of our city are fighting to advance the constructions in the forest.

Great series and thanks for the information. Wildlife habitat is threatened everywhere as more area is taken up for human beings. Hopefully these monkeys can move into the protected area! Good luck to those of you advocating for the protected area!
