Golden Orb Weaver Spider

Nephila clavipes


Large, brightly colored arachnids named for their golden-silked webs. Note that they like to make their webs at face level.


These guys are all over the place! Also Commonly (but incorrectly) called "banana spiders", which is actually a kind of tarantula.
