"It shines like an emerald! This beautiful Paris Peacock (Papilio paris) is our Spotting of the Day. This butterfly in the swallowtail family (Papilionidae) is found in the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. Like other oriental green swallowtails, its wings are actually black, peppered with green scales".
