Family: Noctuidae, Sub-family: Erebinae. This beautiful zale is usually attracted to sugar bait, but likes my screen near a light source. 4-5 cm (1.5 - 2 inches) wingspan. Host trees: Maple and Willow

Habitat:

Eastern USA only, near or in woodlands. Poconos, PA
