Description:

16'. Spreading shrub to small tree with dense rounded crown. Leaves 3" obovate to round, leathery, erect, in 2 rows, evergreen. Bark smooth, brownish. Flowers 1/3", bell shaped, whitish, hairy, in short clusters; bloom year round. Fruit 1 1/2", berry like, dark purple, used in jam, ripe year round.

Hammocks, canal edges, beaches
