We saw at least 6 of these in this area, including a young one. They breached many times, and we even observed three breaching together. I have never seen whales breach together so close to one another, so it was very special to see.
They were in a somewhat narrow passage with very deep water (600-1000+ feet) very close to an island just North of Petersburg.
