This butterfly lays its egg singly under the leaves of any of its hostplants of family "Asclepiadaceae", Migratory species, The female of this butterfly is mimicked by the females of "Common Palmfly" (Elymnias hypermnestra) and "Indian Fritillary"(Argynnis hyperbius)
