Branta canadensis
Wild goose with a black head and neck, white patches on the face, and a brownish-gray body
Native to cooler regions of North America, where it was spotted (Edwards Gardens, Toronto, Ontario, feature perennials and wildflowers as well as roses and rhododendrons throughout the valley and uplands. Estate also hosts an arboretum and children’s teaching garden), this wild goose is occasionally found in northern Europe and was successfully adapted to some warmer areas of it.
What distinguishes the Canada Goose from all the others, is the black head and neck with a white "chinstrap". The only exception is the Barnacle Goose, which although has a black breast, and grey, rather than brownish, body plumage.
