Testudo marginata marginata
A large hybernating Greek marginated tortoise (Testudo marginata marginata) in Goritsa hill Archaeological reserve, Volos city, Greece. Since we are expecting a harsh change of weather withing the next few days, this Wendesday I plan to go back to the hill, and try to locate the animal and cover it with more leaf litter, just to be sure she'll be OK :)

Nice pictures Despina.. I looked after tortoises when i visited Corfu last summer, but i didn't find any... But i will try to find someone this summer when I travel to Zakynthos in June ;) Do you know is that is a good place to get some great bird, reptile and bugs spotting?
