Florida Blue Centipede

Scolopendra viridis

Description:

Beautiful blue sheen down the center of the body from head to tail.

Habitat:

Found under a charred log that it was sharing with a GIANT grub.

Notes:

I found this same specimen twice in the same spot, under the same log right off the side of the trail. Surprised to find so much going on underneath wood that had been previously burned during a controlled fire. This was the only S. viridis that I found during my few days flipping on this particular trail.
