Bald Eagle Pair

Haliaeetus leucocephalus

Description:

This pair was vocalizing back and forth from tree to log. The moment of them greeting each other was caught with the camera. They continued to vocalize while next to each other on the log.

Habitat:

Mississippi backwater area.

Notes:

The vocalizations did not seem territorial at all. They sat together for quite some time, which led me to believe that they could quite possibly be a mating pair. Bald eagles mate for life.
