White-throated Sparrow

Description:

Winter migrant for California
Sparrow with distinctive facial markings. White head with two dark stripes across the head. Yellow lores, dark eye stripe and thin dark mustache. Grey checks and wide white throat. Grey breast and light brown flanks with faded streaks. Back is brown with streaks.

Habitat:

This was spotted in open landscaped with wood chips and low growing plants.
