Yellow-lipped Sea Krait

Laticauda colubrina

Description:

Found hunting in the tide pools at low tide. My first sea krait! since it was small (around 35cm or so) it was probably a male or a juvenile, was really fun watching it look into every crack for food and slithering out to other pools.

It was a gorgeous snake and the first krait I've seen, so I was watching it for about 25min, was great fun.

Excellent spotting! I love that you took the time to watch it forage :-)
