While the male has a bluish and black body, the female has a yellow (later: brown) body with black bands along the abdomen and transparent wings.
Forests, dry twigs, marshes, savannahs
Lovely golden yellowish dragonflies perching on the tips of branches. When slightly disturbed, it flies away only to come back to the same perch.
