Description:

An attractive large dragonfly with strong black and yellow patterns on the tail and thorax. Faint brown tinting near wing tips. About 70mm wingspan.

Habitat:

In a local nature reserve of mixed grasses and small eucalyptus. Nearest known water about 150 metres away.

Notes:

Also called Sentry dragonfly. Family: Corduliidae Genus: Hemicordulia
