A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Corythaixoides leucogaster
A beautiful monochrome bird with a very interesting voice. Typical calls are a nasal haa-haa-haa, like bleating of a sheep, and a single or repeated gwa (or g'away)

Great photo, these bird used to live on my school's campus when I was young, I miss their calls.
Beautiful..
Your spotting has been nominated for the Spotting of the Week. The winner will be chosen by the Project Noah Rangers based on a combination of factors including: uniqueness of the shot, status of the organism (for example, rare or endangered), quality of the information provided in the habitat and description sections. There is a subjective element, of course; the spotting with the highest number of Ranger votes is chosen. Congratulations on being nominated!
Wonderful portrait shot. Welcome to the Project. For those who might like to hear this fabulous bird http://www.xeno-canto.org/species/Coryth...
That is one cool bird I have never seen one like that before. It look almost like a fake. Exotic birds from the other side of the world are cool. that is a good picture. keep it up :)
