Description:

Roughly 12 millimeters in body length, male slightly smaller. Female is black marked with white and ivory. Male is black marked with yellow.

Habitat:

Mating pair found on a blooming saltcedar tree (Tamarix sp.) in a vast field of heavily degraded shortgrass prairie with sunflower, yucca, prickly-pear cacti, and scattered elm trees.
