Royal Tern

Thalasseus maximus

Habitat:

warm coastal marine waters, and they normally rest and forage very near shore

Notes:

About 50 maybe mixed in with maybe 100 laughing gulls in a large group on the shore. There seem to be an even mix of birds in breeding and nonbreeding plumage.
