Habitat:

"These ground dwelling spiders live in open woodlands and around buildings. During late spring and summer, females construct sheetlike webs on low plant growth and stone fences. The web has a retreat tunnel that serves as a shelter; it is not sticky: insect prey are rushed , captured, and hauledd to the retreat."
