Description:

The particular individual was about 12 feet in length and had swallowed monitor lizard of about 4 feet.

Habitat:

Western Ghats of Nothern Karnataka - a biodiversity hotspot of the world

Notes:

This individual pounced on Monitor lizard on the edge of the slope, on getting bitten the lizard fell down abt 2 meters. Then Cobra swallowed the lizard and somehow entered into the compound of the power plant. Due to lizard in its stomach, unable to breach the compound fence. Rescued to evacuate from the compound.
