Chrysodeixis argentifera
This attractive moth had a wing span of about 30 mm. Its wings were tented-up but occasionally it opened it slightly as seen in the last picture of another looper seen near by on the same night. The fore wings are iridescent with shades of brown and grey with a distinct "8"-shaped mark of silver near the inner margin and a small S-shaped silver pattern near the costal margin. The thorax showed a wedge-shaped tuft of fur and smaller tufts were seen along the midline of the dorsal side
