Hooded siskin; cabecita negra

Description:

Beautiful small birds which seem to move in big flocks gathering seeds around the place. In the first picture, as its head is black, it is a hooded siskin male; females' heads are lighter, sort of yellowish greyish. It sings lovely too; adding some extra beauty to its delightful natural habitat.

Habitat:

It can be found all over South América. This one in particular was spottend in winter in the snowy andean region of "Villa la Angosutra" in the province of Neúquen, Argentina.
