Fox track the toes fan out and have roundish pads, Coyote the two middle toes curve toward each other and the pads are sort of triangular. Both have a 4 toe print. If you have 5 toes you have a skunk, possum, or raccoon. I count 5 toe prints in these photos. Here is a reference for many kinds of tracks: http://www.tahoma.wednet.edu/subsite/ths...

Both coyotes and fox have similar sized tracks, so could be either. Do you have both in your area?
