A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Procyon lotor
Small animal tracks
Fox track the toes fan out and have roundish pads, Coyote the two middle toes curve toward each other and the pads are sort of triangular. Both have a 4 toe print. If you have 5 toes you have a skunk, possum, or raccoon. I count 5 toe prints in these photos. Here is a reference for many kinds of tracks: http://www.tahoma.wednet.edu/subsite/ths...
Both coyotes and fox have similar sized tracks, so could be either. Do you have both in your area?
Signs of wildlife such as tracks, nests & webs are categorized by the organism that created them so I have moved this to mammals for you. You might also like to add this to the Signs of Wildlife mission
