Congratulations bob5, your Blue-eyed Anglehead Lizard is our Spotting of the Day:

"We have a thing for eyes at the moment, with this striking close-up of a Blue-eyed Anglehead Lizard (Gonocephalus liogaster) as our Spotting of the Day! Also known as Orange-ringed Anglehead Lizard, this species is found in Peninsular Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra. While the males have bright blue eyes as seen here, females have a brown iris".

It is a large forest dwelling lizard that inhabits lowland forest and peat swamp forest. Diets consist of insects. Can be found in Peninsular Malaysia, Bormeo and Sumatra.
The brown speciment was found during the day and green at night. I have seen them in a few areas so far in Sarawak...good eyesight and a lot of luck. Yes those blue eyes are captivating. Thank you all😍
