Description:

Somewhat low-growing with some stems becoming erect. Produces small blue flowers with two round petals and a small white petal. Green, clasping leaves, simple, oval or heart shaped. Flowers open during the day.

Habitat:

Suburban yard.

Notes:

This plant has many traditional medicinal and other uses including the production of a blue dye.
