A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Odocoileus virginianus
We had to rescue this fawn at lay lake. Our dogs chased it into the lake and it started swimming into open water. Our dogs would have gotten it or it would have drown, we had to give it a chance to live.
Woods, lakes
@emma, we rescued it two weeks ago, last week my friends mom was at the lake house and found him/her sleeping behind the tool shed. It must be abandoned :( our state park has a wildlife rescue that we're going to contact to see if they will come get it.
@asergio, thanks. I tried to delete them from the iPhone app but they kept showing back up. FYI might be a bug that needs to be fixed.
Anne, thanks for beeing so understanding. As you already cropped the photos, I deleted the old ones, as they are no longer necessary.
Hi Anne! I am glad you could save the fawn before your dogs got to it! Could you please crop the photo so it focuses on the deer? Project Noah tries to not show people as much as possible for their own safety. Thank you, and I hope to see more of your wildlife encounters here on Project Noah!
