A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Anas platyrhynchos
These are one of the most common of waterfowl in the biodiversity near my local lake. They are very distinctive mostly with the males with the green head, gray wings, black and white tale feathers, and brownish chest, with white band around the neck. The females are much duller Earth toned with brown and black pattern on the most part of the body with a splash of blue plumes on the wings.
