Thank you bayucca. No doubt that flavipes is a very variable species. My spotting looks like #7 according to the paper, however I found a check list of Chauliognathus species that occur in Argentina and flavipes species doesn´t figure. Though fallax species is cited for Argentina. Maybe this list is uncompleted or the beetle could be a geographical variation of fallax sp.http://www.coleoptera-neotropical.org/pa...Happy New Year!
