Pardalotus punctatus
The Spotted Pardalote (Pardalotus punctatus) is one of the smallest of all Australian birds at 8 to 10 cm in length, and one of the most colourful; it is sometimes known as the Diamondbird.
Spotted in Lake Parramatta Reserve, Sydney in dense forest.
Best shot I could get! These guys are very quick and very small!

....so beautiful. You are so lucky to have spotted and photographed him. thanks for sharing, Sean.
Absolutely gorgeous little birds. We only know they live on our property because we can hear the male calling. Same with the Striated pardalote, until we finally spotted him guarding his nesting hollow (you can just see him): http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/653...
