White to pinkish plant. Waxy in appearance and texture. Saprophytic. This plant lacks chlorophyll and lives off decaying plant matter buried in the soil.

Habitat:

Found among the leaf litter in hardwood forest floors. Shady areas often under other herbaceous plants.
