Graptostethus sp.
Graptostethus are species of seed bugs in the family Lygaeidae. The antennae, legs and eys are black. The side of the thorax is reddish with black spots. The species that is observed here, Graptostethus servus, has a different black pattern on the red pronotum than my spotting. Servus has a transverse black band near the head and behind are two rounded spots followed by two black bars. My spotting looks more like quadrisignatus that I can not find any observation og hear in the Philippines.
Roadside near rice field.
