Description:

These flowers are abundant along the streams on Mt. Lemmon, near Tucson, Arizona (USA). Their plants are up to 3' tall and the flowers about 2 1/2 inches wide and 3" long. This one was photographed growing beside a fallen, burnt pine trunk.

Habitat:

Mixed conifer forest, riparian
